Cables shouldn't fray in six months.

Slacked started with a simple annoyance: the cable in the drawer that stopped charging. The one with the split jacket near the plug. The one that only works if you hold it at a particular angle. Everyone has three of them.

So we went looking for the opposite. Woven nylon instead of moulded rubber. Reinforced strain relief at the connectors, which is exactly where cheap cables give out first. Colours that look considered rather than leftover.

Woven, all the way through

The braided finish on our cables is the same idea behind our iPhone cases. Textile rather than plastic — warm to hold, quiet in the pocket, and it doesn't become a fingerprint museum after a week.

It's a small range on purpose. We'd rather carry a few things worth owning than a catalogue of everything.

How we work

We're a small South African operation. Every order is brought in specifically for you and couriered to your door by Aramex with tracking, which takes 8 to 11 business days. We're upfront about that timing because we'd rather you know than wonder.
